Arthur Mendoza

Founder & Artistic Director

 

Arthur Mendoza is the Artistic Director and Principle Instructor at the Actors Circle Theatre, which he founded 17 years ago in West Hollywood, CA. Before founding ACT, Mr. Mendoza was the originating and principal acting instructor at the Stella Adler Conservatory-West for 7 years under the immediate direction of his friend and mentor, the late Stella Adler. Mr. Mendoza has performed in over 120 plays, as well as extensive film and television work, and has directed and produced over 50 plays. Actors Mr. Mendoza is proud to have trained include Academy Award winner Benicio del Toro, Daytime Emmy winner Finola Hughes, Peta Wilson, Kristina Loggia and Khandi Alexander. Mr. Mendoza earned a BA from UC Riverside and an MFA from UC San Diego, where he studied personally with Alan Schneider for three years.

Andreas Kraemer

Theatre Manager & Associate Instructor

 

Washington DC native Andreas Kraemer has studied with Arthur Mendoza for 5 years, 3 as Theater Manager, and has been the instructor of the Thursday Workshop for the past year . As an actor, he has performed in over 30 plays in Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, DC as well as several TV and Film projects on both coasts. Directorial credits include “Stranger” by Craig Lucas, “The Dutchman” by Amiri Baraka, “Flowers for Algernon” by David Rodgers for which he also composed and performed the score, and “The Gingerbread Lady” by Neil Simon as assistant director under the tutelage and direction of Mr. Mendoza.
